Step 1. Understand the Task

The introduction is where you get the reader’s attention and draw them in. It should also make clear what you are going to talk about in the essay. The body is where you put all of your evidence to support your thesis statement, or main idea of the essay. A well-structured body will have at least three paragraphs, with each paragraph containing a separate argument for one of your thesis statements. You should spend no more than five sentences per paragraph. When it comes to the conclusion, this part wraps up everything you said in your introduction and body sections.
Step 5. Add Supporting Details
Add supporting details in the form of examples, facts, or opinions that will prove your point. Use at least three different types of details to create a balanced argument. For example, if you are arguing that the university should offer more opportunities for students to study abroad then mention statistics about how many students have never been outside of their country before going to college. Explain how studying abroad would be beneficial for them and what type of experience they might have on an overseas trip.
Step 6. Proofread
Proofread your essay for typos, grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure. The best way to do this is to read the essay out loud as you proofread it. Read it in a voice with different accents. Read it in a robotic voice. Read it in an upbeat tone, a monotone voice, etc. You may be surprised by what you find. Step 7. Enjoy Your Grade!
Enjoy your grades. After all, they are the reason you did it in the first place. You can’t get better at anything without hard work, and grades are just a measure of how much effort you put in. Your professors will take notice if you have a good attitude towards schoolwork; this will help to create an atmosphere where learning is encouraged.
